Help Me Helen was created by Helen Collins along with good friends John and Faith Forsythe and me, Ben, her husband. Helen is famous for her excellent dinner parties and  has always served a fantastic homemade vinaigrette. The Forsythe family became so taken with the salad dressing that their family would not use any other dressing on their salads. Faith suggested that bottling the product for commercial sale would allow her family and others to enjoy the dressing on a regular basis. Believing that many others would fall in love with her dressing, Help Me Helen was born.  Soon Helen created a second variety, the Green Chile Caesar.

The Help Me Helen family has done all of the promotion of the products to date. These include in store tastings and sales at local farmers markets and wine festivals. Word of mouth, friend to friend, family to family, has kept Help Me Helen growing.

Help Me Helen Vinaigrette and Green Chile Caesar is now produced in a food production facility but still uses all natural quality ingredients to ensure a fresh wonderful flavor.

The Vinaigrette is a traditional French style vinaigrette with a base of red wine vinegar and Dijon mustard.

The Green Chile Caesar is a light, lemon and vinegar based dressing with the unexpected twist of the spice of native New Mexico Green Chile.

An interesting phenomenon is that among our families, friends and at tastings Help Me Helen is incredibly popular with kids. We have many stories of little guys and gals trying our vinaigrette and becoming faithful devotes (see our picture of the pool salad party).

Help Me Helen dressings also make a fabulous marinade for seafood, chicken and meats. My favorite is salmon marinated before grilling. Absolutely delicious! Pour some over steamed vegetables or over pasta. Superb!
